ULTRON

I've gotten to draw ULTRON a few times now...

First up: My variant cover for West Coast Avengers issue 10 (on sale in august 2025), featuring OMEGA ULTRON! Roughed out digitally in CSP, then lightboxed onto Stathmore bristol and inked by hand. Scanned back in, cleaned up and colored in CSP, with final tweaks and prepress in PS.

Next: My cover art for ULTRON issue 1AU, this was part of the Age of Ultron comics event from 2010 or so (it predates the movie), and features Victor Mancha--the son of ULTRON!! This was a very quick turnaround ~2 days AFAIK, which forced me (screaming) across the threshold of doing things fully digitally. Yep, this was my first soup-to-nuts digital cover. The first of many, but as of about 2021, I've gone back to inking most of my cover work by hand.

Finally: a commission from 2023. ULTRON TRIUMPHANT!! I did my own take on ULTRON and included a few trophies as well as a layout and setting based on one of the greatest works of comics and animation of all time, AKIRA.
